“The Longest Nights” by Timothy C. Takach is a seven-movement choral work for SATB and piano or string quartet. This piece explores the themes of winter and the transition to spring. Each movement captures different aspects of the season, from the chill of a blizzard to the quiet beauty of a winter walk. The texts, written by various poets, reflect on the natural world and the human experience during the longest nights of the year
